ShoreTel Executive to Drive Growth of Leading Enterprise Communications Solution

Regional Role based in Australia

SYDNEY, Australia, 12 February, 2009 - ShoreTel, Inc., (NASDAQ: SHOR), a leading provider of Pure IP Unified Communications (UC) solutions, has appointed Vasili Triant as Managing Director for South East Asia.

Mr. Triant will be based in Sydney where he will lead the company's planned expansion in the Australian enterprise communications sector, as well as in the region. Mr. Triant is a specialist in IP telephony, UC and networking, and previously was the ShoreTel regional director for the SouthWest United States and Mexico, where he successfully led sales initiatives to expand ShoreTel's market share.

He joined ShoreTel in 2004, following extensive experience in the PBX systems sector, which includes owning and operating a successful IP telephony solutions provider company in Southern California. This company designed and sold solutions around the ShoreTel UC platform, and its success was due to Mr. Triant's ability to identify a gap in the market for a solutions provider to focus on voice and data, during a period when the market was mainly focused on voice-only communications systems.

Prior to this, Mr. Triant was the director of sales at a server-based IP PBX company, COM2001.com, which designed state-of-the-art speech-enabled UC solutions.

Mr. Triant has been involved in IP telephony communications from the infancy of hybrid server-based products to the start of pure IP-based telephony systems, and combines an in-depth knowledge of this technology with a rich understanding of customer needs.

Mr. Triant said today that one of ShoreTel's greatest strengths is its ability to lead the market in customer satisfaction. ShoreTel recently announced its14th consecutive quarter or 3 ½ years at world-class levels.
