SIP Trunking

What is SIP Trunking?

A SIP trunk is a service offered by an ITSP (Internet Telephony Service Provider) that permits businesses that have a PBX(Private Branch Exchange) installed to use Voice-over-IP (VoIP) also outside the enterprise network by using the same connection as the Internet connection. All of this jargon can be confusing, but the idea is that you can use a broadband internet connection to replace traditional, costly leased lines from your local phone company. The savings are significant and the system is future-proof.

What can SIP Trunking do for my bottom line?

Flexibility, affordability, scalability...All designed to increase your profitability. Save by eliminating costly, and less capable, TDM-gateway equipment infrastructure or desktop equipment

Eliminate the need to purchase equipment, such as managed-media gateway devices, to interface between IP voice and the PSTN
Reduce
monthly expenses, since only one connection for data and voice is needed
Eliminate
the need for PRI (primary rate interface)/BRI (basic rate interface) connections, lowering telephony costs
